With over 25 years of experience and more than 75 commercial products brought to market, Mark Sires has built a career at the intersection of engineering precision and creative design. His expertise spans mechanical and industrial design, fracture mechanics, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), and finite element analysis (FEA).

His approach bridges engineering rigor and human-centered design. He focuses deeply on how products integrate into our daily lives, emphasizing usability, durability, and sustainability. His work incorporates complex thermal architectures, connected devices, antenna and EMI strategies, and environmental and product test strategies that ensure performance in the real world.

Beyond design, Mark brings an entrepreneurial mindset to every project. He has guided startups and global companies alike through the full lifecycle of product development—from ideation to manufacturing, including financial strategies from bootstrapping to investment rounds. His global network of suppliers and manufacturing partners, cultivated over two decades across Asia and the U.S., enables SPD to deliver reliable, scalable production solutions.

Mark holds an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and a MBA in Sustainability as well as graduate work in Computation Fluid Dynamics and Fracture Mechanics. His experience spans both small and large teams, with a portfolio of patents and innovations that continue to grow.
